Participants of “Achema Gas Trade” seminar travelled in time
Annual energy seminar “Achema Gas Trade” was organised in Druskininkai, it was attended by the partners of the company, current and potential natural gas and electricity clients.
Natural gas and electricity market overview was presented during the first part of the seminar. The price dynamics, the changes in the production flows to the member states of the European Union since the beginning of the war, storage levels and etc. were overviewed by colleagues from “Achema Gas Trade” the CEO of the company Gediminas Vasauskas and the Head of Electricity Trade Almantas Vinikas.
The report on the current challenges of the global liquefied natural gas (LNG) market, new and existing global capacities, expected import to European Union countries and Asia trends was introduced at the seminar by the manager of LNG sales department of the Norwegian company Equinor ASA Anders Bjordal, which is one of the largest natural gas suppliers in Europe.
Energy expert Vytautas Ruolia reviewed the prospects for the development of the green hydrogen sector in Lithuania and the Baltic region, whereas Jonas Vaičys, the CEO of company “Energy Visum Lab”, told the audience about flexibility as a symbol of a safe and sustainable energy system of the future.
“During the second part of the seminar Jonas introduced, what will be relevant in the nearest future, i.e. the solutions introduced by the companies enabling to even out fluctuations in electricity consumption and generation within the company as much as possible and to use excess energy. This includes electric energy storage as well. The last presentation was about what awaits us in 10 or more years, i.e. how green hydrogen infrastructure will be developed in the Baltic States and Finland. During the event, we talked about the recent past, the present and the distant future, therefore, we travelled back in time together with the participants of the event,” summarised G. Vasauskas, the CEO of company “Achema Gas Trade”.
After the seminar the participants assembled for private dinner at “Grand SPA Lietuva” restaurant “Keturi vėjai”. The colleagues from “Achema Gas Trade” expressed sincere gratitude to the employees of “Grand SPA Lietuva” in Druskininkai who welcomed the guests for their magnificent organisational work, excellent food and services.
