Learning at the world’s biggest cruise shipping exhibition in Miami
The biggest cruise shipping exhibition in the world “Seatrade Global Expo” in Miami, the United States of America, was also attended by the representatives of the company “Klaipėdos laivų remontas”.
The latest cruise shipping trends, ship designs, interior details, safety and rescue equipment, world cruise ports, their infrastructure and superstructure were presented at the cruise shipping exhibition.
“During the exhibition we had an opportunity to get acquainted and make new connections with companies that are cruise ship agencies, representatives of the tourism agencies, while introducing Klaipėda port and cruise ship terminal. It was very interesting to see, what technologies are operating in the most up-to-date cruise ship terminals of the world, what equipment is used, in order to facilitate ship docking, energy supply to the ships,” said G. Milvydas, the Head of Infrastructure of the Company.
According to R. Vitkevičius, the Marketing Manager, the exhibition introduced not only the activities related to the cruise shipping, but also representatives of big and important companies working in the ship repairing field from across the world.
“We met the representatives of such ship repair companies as British company “Harland & Wolff”, with which we cooperate in military ship repair field, polish company “Voith”, shipping register “DNV” and other partners from the ship repair segment. During the business trip, outside the exhibition time we also had an exceptional opportunity to visit one of cruise ship terminals in Miami, which surprised us by its size, excellent infrastructure and especially strict security,” recalled R. Vitkevičius.
