“Achema” resumed the production of ammonia

After a three-month break, Jonava nitrogen fertilizer plant “Achema” resumed production of the main product – ammonia – at partial capacity, i.e. the plant launched one of two production units.

The company made the decision to temporarily suspend ammonia production back in May of this year, in response to an unfavourable market situation – with the price of natural gas fluctuating significantly in Europe and cheap products from third countries flooding the market.
