A visit of the freshmen from Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy: the first steps into the world of agronomy

This week Viduklė agrocentre of company “Agrochema” was visited by the freshmen from Vytautas Magnus University Agriculture Academy (VDU ŽŪA) and the Dean of Faculty of Agronomy Aida Adamavičienė. The guests got acquainted with the operation of the agrocentre and the elevators, they had a lot of questions and experienced wonderful moments.

“Together with our colleagues Eugenijus, Juozas and Mantas, we told them about “Agrochema” and how we contributed to the development of agriculture in Lithuania. We talked about the specialty of the agronomist and the versatile opportunities it provides as agronomy encompasses much more than just the soil and the crop, it includes future technologies, innovations and constant development,” told the Head of Human Resources Department of “Agrochema” Sonata Gabševičienė.

To make it more fun and interesting, the colleagues prepared a quiz for students – an opportunity for students to test their knowledge about agriculture and the operation of the company. There was a lot of enthusiasm, questions and exciting competition.

“This meeting is a perfect reflection how business and science can work hand in hand to shape the new generation of professionals. I believe that such connections create a strong and attractive image of the employer, and who knows – maybe in the future we will see these students among our team members,” rejoiced S. Gabševičienė.
