The acquisition and financing phase of the wind farm in Pagėgiai was completed in 2024. This will be the largest privately developed wind farm in the Baltic States. The park, which will occupy approximately 1,000 hectares, is planned to accommodate 40 wind turbines with a total installed capacity of 264 MW. It is estimated that the wind farm will generate approximately 0.7 TWh of electricity annually.

In 2023, Achema, supported by European Union funding and its own investment, initiated the implementation of a 6.5 MW solar power plant project within its factory premises. The generated electricity will be supplied to the company’s internal power grid to support production units.

Agrochema also took a significant step toward more sustainable operations. In 2023, the company installed solar power plants at four of its branches—Šeduva, Vilkaviškis, Viduklė, and Kėdainiai—with a total capacity of nearly 0.9 MW.

In 2023, Central Klaipeda Terminal became an energy-producing consumer after installing a solar power plant. The new solar installation, mounted on the company’s control and inspection post roof, has a permitted generation capacity of 99 kW and is expected to produce 95,000 kWh of electricity annually.

Iremas also contributed to environmental sustainability initiatives. Its Letenerga branch installed a 300 kW solar power plant on its roof, which is projected to cover the branch’s annual electricity needs and reduce electricity costs by approximately 40,000 euros per year.

Achempak completed the installation of a 230 kW solar power plant in 2023 and began generating energy for its own needs. The new plant is expected to meet approximately 50% of the company’s annual electricity needs.

In 2022 “Achema”  which is the largest company of the Concern in cooperation with long-lasting partners Kaunas University of Technology scientists devised a way to use the excess carbon dioxide (CO2) released into the environment in the course of production procedures by using it for manufacturing new products and improving the existing ones.

UAB “Agrochema” upgraded the packaging of liquid fertilizers by replacing them with recyclable packages, whereas the packaging of organic fertilizer product line was replaced with ergonomic bottles made from already recycled plastic.

Company KLASCO installed rainwater treatment devices, which will ensure that all surface wastewater is cleaned, for 1.2 million EUR.

In order to ensure environmentally friendly cargo transportation UAB “Transachema” acquired the only electric locomotive of such power in the country.

In 2021 the capital repair works were initiated at the hotels managed by company “Palangos vėtra”: “Palangos vėtra” located in Palanga, “Old Mill Hotel” and “Old Mill Comfort” located in Klaipėda.

During the repairs 32 rooms were essentially renewed at “Old Mill Hotel”, 21 rooms at “Old Mill Comfort” and 9 rooms at “Palangos vėtra”. Moreover, 6 new rooms were furnished at “Old Mill Comfort” and a new restaurant was opened.

The interiors of the rooms were updated, the furniture and equipment were replaced during the repair works, while after the renewal was completed, the number of visitors staying at the hotels of the port for a period longer than a month increased almost twice.

The companies of UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ actively assisted the hospitals of the country in the fight against the coronavirus COVID-19.

AB Achema donated artificial lung ventillators to Jonava Hospital and Kauno Klinikos, the Hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, worth over EUR 110 thousand.

UAB Gaschema supplied 20 tons of liquid medical oxygen and 5,000 litres of medical gaseous oxygen to the hospitals of Jonava, Klaipėda University and Jūrininkai free of charge, and KLASCO, Centrinis Klaipėdos Terminalas and Krovinių Terminalas made a significant contribution to the support in the form of 5 smart breathing apparatuses for Klaipėda University Hospital.

The Group’s consolidated revenue reached EUR 922 million, while the consolidated profit before taxesreached EUR 107 million.

2019 became a record year for UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ.

For the first time in the Group’s history, the Group’s consolidated revenue exceeded EUR 1 billion, while the consolidated value of its assets reached EUR 916 million.

The contribution of UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ to the gross domestic product (GDP) amounted to 3.42%. The total amount of taxes paid to the state amounted to almost EUR 117 million.

Following the process of improving the activity, it was decided to liquidate AB Spaustuvė Titnagas and UAB Achema Mokymo Centras.

KLASCO earned EUR 46.1 million in revenue and transhipped 12.4 million tons of cargo, predominantly bulk and liquid fertilizers, grain, iron ore, metal products and other cargo.

Insurance brokerage company UADBB Draudimo Brokerių Aljansas concluded over 43 thousand insurance contracts, and for the first time in the company’s history, its revenues exceeded EUR 1 million.

UAB Renerga acquired 60 MW of installed wind farms in the Czech Republic and Croatia.

Belgium-based BVBA Fertigent built two new tanks of 38,000 tons and expanded the terminal’s infrastructure.

The family amusement park ‘O kas čia?, belonging to the health and recreation complex Grand Spa Lietuva, was opened.

UAB Achema Gas Trade, which trades in gas in Lithuania and the Baltic countries, was established.

The company signed a market maker agreement with the Baltic natural gas exchange GetBaltic. This was the first agreement of this kind in the Baltic countries.

All regular ferry lines to Klaipėda were rerouted to the Centrinis Klaipėdos Terminalas.

UAB Renerga installed one of the most advanced electric car quick charging stations in Druskininkai and Klaipėda.

The main direction of the Group is the implementation of its strategy, strengthening of all companies and preparation for development.

The Group acquired UAB Litagra. Follwoing the transaction, the company merged with UAB Agrochema helps to expand its activities and complete the logistics chain from grain elevators to Klaipėda port.

The activities of Gaschema, a branch of AB Achema, were demerged and transferred to the newly established company Gaschema LT.

The Group acquired UAB Laivyno Technikos Priežiūros Bazė and increased its stake in UAB Centrinis Klaipėdos Terminalas up to 100%. UAB Renerga-1 built a 7.5 MW wind farm in Anykščiai district. UAB Transachema invested in the renewal of the rolling stock by purchasing 100 railroad cars with the investments amounting to EUR 3 million.

The results achieved in 2015 were the best in the past few years for both the Group as a whole and its individual companies.

According to unconsolidated data, ACHEMOS GRUPĖ earned EUR 113 million and reached a turnover of EUR 1.225 billion.

AB Achema celebrated its 50 th anniversary in 2015. The company also launched a new workshop, a nitric acid unit (GP-2), opened a new air separation unit and began producing liquefied petroleum gas.

UAB Renerga 1 won an auction for the distribution of 7.5 MW promotion quotas to producers using wind energy.

KLASCO acquired the third KLASCO-3 tug and won the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists ‘Successful Company 2015’ award for its stable economic results.

UAB Palangos Vėtra added a new 3 PLUS star Old Mill Conference Hotel to its hotel portfolio.

In 2014, the total revenue of the Group’s companies exceeded EUR 1.1 billion.

Centrinis Klaipėdos Terminalas,one of the most modern specialised terminals on the eastern Baltic coast, was opened for mooring cargo ro-ro, ro-pax and passenger ships.

The process of improving the activity was completed: several companies of the Radiocentras group were merged, business that was loss-making and non-synergistic with other Group’s companies was eliminated.

The largest company of the Group Achema increased its turnover by almost 4% and reached an income figure of EUR 531 million.

In 2014, the company produced 14 percent more products than in 2013. The companies managed by the Group Achempak, Grand SPA Lietuva, Radiocentras Group and Liteximp achieved the best results in their history.

The total revenue of the Group’s companies amounted to LTL 3.7 billion. The Board of UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ approved the long-term development strategy of the Group in the following main areas: fertilizers and agribusiness, handling and logistics, independent businesses (energy, health and accommodation services, repairs, media, etc.).

Gaschema, a subsidiary of Achema, began the construction of an air decomposition unit that will produce liquid technical gases and medical oxygen. The investments in the unit construction project amounted to about LTL 42 million.

The Group started a process of improving its activities in order to eliminate loss-making and non-synergistic businesses.

Agrochema was awarded the ‘Merit for Business’ award by the country’s Ministry of Agriculture. It was nominated “Leader of Innovative Solutions” for liquid amide nitrogen fertilizer with magnesium and sulphur “Leader Mg + NS”.

Iremas was given the ‘Successful Company’ award by the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists in the electronics and machinery sector.

The 4-star hotel Dzūkija was opened in Druskininkai. This concluded the project for the development of the most modern health complex in Lithuania, Grand SPA Lietuva.

LTL 11.5 million was invested in the hotel that can accommodate 48 individuals at any one time. The revenue of UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ exceeded LTL 4.8 billion. The investments amounted to more than LTL 85 million. They were allocated for modernising the companies and implementing advanced management and process management solutions.

At the National Responsible Business Awards Ceremony, AB Achema was recognised as the ‘Workplace of the Year’ among the country’s largest industrial companies.

The turnover of the Group’s companies returned to the pre-crisis level and reached LTL 4 billion (it increased by 48% comparing to 2010). This accounted for about 4% of Lithuania’s GDP.

LTL 115 million was allocated for investments. Achema completed the construction of a 47 MW CHP plant, this enabled the company to supply almost 100 percent of its electricity.

KLASCO, having invested LTL 26 million, expanded the grain terminal and prepared for another investment stage. UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ lost its dear founder, the President Dr. Bronislovas Lubys.

The Group’s revenue amounted to LTL 2.75 billion, or about 3% of Lithuania’s GDP, and its gross profit was LTL 88.7 million.

Most of these funds were allocated for investment. One of the largest investment projects was the construction of a 47 MW CHP power plant at Achema.

KLASCO increased its competitiveness by acquiring two modern port tugs.

Renerga’s wind farm expanded in Benaičiai, Kretinga district, and new 34 MW wind farms were built. The Group started to manage the largest and most powerful wind farm in Lithuania and the Baltic countries.

The Group’s revenue amounted to LTL 3 billion – ACHEMOS GRUPĖ’s share made 3.1 percent of Lithuania’s GDP.

Achema was recognised as the ‘Environmental Company of the Year’ and won the National Responsible Business Award.

Achema completed an LTL 0.5 billion investment programme. About one third of the investments were dedicated to technologies reducing environmental pollution.

The start of construction of Klaipėda passenger and cargo terminal was announced. Planning to invest LTL 70 million in the new terminal.

The largest geothermal heating project in the Baltic countries was implemented during the reconstruction of the Grand SPA Lietuva spas in Druskininkai. Investments in it amounted to LTL 6 million.

The revenue of UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ reached LTL 5 billion – 4.5% of Lithuania’s GDP. The Group invested over LTL 298 million in the development in various areas of activity. The Group won a lease auction for a 39.7 ha plot of land in Mockava, Lazdijai district, and started an industrial park construction project.

UAB Mockavos Terminalas – the operator of the terminal under construction – was established. The Hotel Magnus, a modern and comfortable three-star economy class hotel, was opened in the heart of Kaunas.

The revenue of UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ amounted to LTL 3.7 billion, while the investments made LTL 346 million.

A new 16 MW wind farm started operating in Benaičiai (Kretinga district).

KLASCO was awarded the main prize of the Lithuanian Logistics Association for achievements in the field of logistics.

AB Achema launched a new ammonia workshop with a capacity of 550 thousand tons per year.

The Group acquired one of the largest sanatoriums in the country, Lietuva (now Grand SPA Lietuva), in Druskininkai.

The revenue of UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ amounted to LTL 2.5 billion, while the investments made LTL 456 million. Revived and started funding the International Count Oginskis Festival in Samogitia.

The Helsinki Commission, which is concerned with protecting the Baltic Sea countries, struck Achema from its list of hotspots.

The revenue of UAB koncernas ACHEMOS GRUPĖ amounted to LTL 2.1 billion, while the investments made LTL 331 million.

The Group initiated a joint environmental project with the largest Lithuanian industrial companies: AB Achema, AB Lifosa and AB Mažeikių Nafta. Eventually, it became an active Green Generation initiative, promoting educational and environmental activities for schoolchildren and young people.

The Group’s company Žemaitijos Grūdai was established, and so was the company of agricultural trade and complex services Agrochema Eesti in Estonia.

The radio station RC 2 owned by the Group changed its name to ZIP FM.

AB Achema together with Belgian colleagues established a joint venture Fertigent. It operates a liquid fertilizer handling terminal at the port of Ghent. At that time, it was the largest Lithuanian capital investment in Belgium.

KLASCO implemented an environmental management system meeting the requirements of ISO 14001.The private limited company Budrus Sakalas was established, it being a Group company that protects large industrial and logistics objects, hotels, clubs, construction sites and private territories.

A 1.5 megawatt Kavarskas hydroelectric power plant was built. It was equipped with special paths that allow fish to enter the spawning ground – the river Virinta, a tributary of Šventoji. The building of the hotel in Palanga Palangos Vėtra was renovated and expanded.
