In 2023, Achema, supported by European Union funding and its own investment, initiated the implementation of a 6.5 MW solar power plant project within its factory premises. The generated electricity will be supplied to the company’s internal power grid to support production units.

The new solar installation, mounted on the company’s control and inspection post roof, has a permitted generation capacity of 99 kW and is expected to produce 95,000 kWh of electricity annually.

Iremas also contributed to environmental sustainability initiatives. Its Letenerga branch installed a 300 kW solar power plant on its roof, which is projected to cover the branch’s annual electricity needs and reduce electricity costs by approximately 40,000 euros per year.

Achempak completed the installation of a 230 kW solar power plant in 2023 and began generating energy for its own needs. The new plant is expected to meet approximately 50% of the company’s annual electricity needs.
