“Achempak” won the title “Innovation Champion of the Year”
On the 5th of November the event called “Business Day 2025” took place in Jonava. It is a traditional event, dedicated to local business community, organised jointly by Jonava District Municipality and Jonava Branch of Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts. The event was attended by almost 90 guests, including businessmen, CEOs of institutions, partners, sponsors and fellows, contributing to the growth and thriving of Jonava.
This year the title “Innovation Champion of the Year” was awarded to company “Achempak” which is a very active member of Jonava Branch of Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts since 2013. The company lead by Tomas Krejaras for several years is famous for modern solutions and consistent improvement.
In 2025 the company implemented a significant project for modernisation of the manufacturing process – launched a new bottle-shaped polyethylene (PE) liner production line and a baling press adapted for both single and four-loop big bags. This is a technological leap that allows us to serve large bulk product manufacturers transferring to fully automated, robotic packaging lines.
The company invested 329 thousand EUR and received impressive results: within a short period of time they manufactured more than 700 thousand inner lines, part of them were used for new big bags in a roll. This innovation enabled to not only increase the scope of production, but also enhanced the work ergonomics, decreased the need for manual labour and opened new opportunities for export.
The example of “Achempak” is a proof that consistency, technological advancement and courage to invest become the main keys leading to success not only for one single company, but for the entire region.
The CEO of the company Tomas Krejaras accepted the award presented by Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts and rejoiced that it was an excellent evaluation for the company team.
