Future products are developed and tested in Denmark as well
The Head of Crop Production Department of company “Agrochema” Mantas Mačėnas and senior agronomist-consultant Danius Juselis have returned from Denmark recently, which they visited Flakkebjerg Research Centre of Aarhus University at the invitation of partner BASF. Together with the representatives of other Lithuanian agribusiness companies our colleagues researched fungicide tests and took interest in the most advanced agro technology practices of this country.
“We are very happy with the opportunity to visit this university for the second year in a row, because the tests of plant protection products carried out at their research centre are recognised throughout Europe, – rejoiced M. Mačėnas. – During the visit fungicide tests implemented by BASF were evaluated, the program of these tests is composed taking into consideration the most popular products of BASF and other manufacturers distributed in Lithuania. Last year we evaluated the spread of wheat septoria, whereas this year we evaluated the spread of wheat streak as well. We also evaluated the performance of solo carboxamides and the exceptional effect of “Xemium” on leaf diseases was witnessed.”
During the demonstrative tests carried out by BASF our colleagues also observed the operation of other innovative products that are not yet distributed in Lithuania, such as “Revyflex” (“Balaya Flex Pack” in tandem), “Daxur” (“Revysol” with kresoxim-methyl), “Revysol” + prothioconazole. After successful tests these products shall be offered to the farmers in Lithuania as well.
