Agrochema’s management level highly rated and new ISO certificates awarded
On 14-15 May, Agrochema UAB underwent a certification audit of its integrated management system. The audit showed that the company’s management system complies with all the requirements of the ISO standards, and three new certificates were awarded to confirm this: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
The auditors of DNV Lithuania UAB rated the company’s management level extremely highly, awarding it 5 out of 5 points. The audit did not identify any non-conformities.
According to Vitalija Januškevičienė, Agrochema’s Process and Quality Manager, ISO certificates are internationally recognised standards confirming that a company has implemented best practice management systems in certain areas.
“The standards encourage companies to consistently deliver high quality products and services that meet customer needs and expectations. This leads to greater customer satisfaction, loyalty and trust in the company. The certificates show that the company is reliable, responsible and focused on improvement,” says the Process and Quality Manager.
An integrated management system combines several separate management systems into a single whole and offers many benefits to companies. For example, instead of having to manage several separate systems, companies can use one integrated system that covers all their needs. This can save time and resources as well as improve efficiency. The IMS also helps companies to better understand how different processes are interrelated. This can help identify potential areas for improvement and improve overall operational efficiency.
ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are international standards that provide best practice guidelines for quality management, environmental management and occupational health and safety management respectively. They also give companies a competitive advantage in the market, especially when participating in public tenders or cooperating with international partners.
Agrochema’s Integrated Management System was first certified in August 2009. Certification audits are carried out every 3 years, followed by new certificates (as this year). The certification audit is followed by annual surveillance audits. The next ones will take place in 2025 and 2026.
“It is important to note that the introduction of an ISO-compliant management system into a company is not a one-off event. It is an ongoing process that requires commitment from all levels of the organisation. Companies that successfully implement these standards reap significant benefits both in the short and long term,” concludes Vitalija Januškevičienė.
The certifications achieved will also serve to strengthen the internal atmosphere and culture of the company, as they promote teamwork and cooperation throughout the organisation. At the same time, it increases employee engagement and productivity. The principles of the standards, such as customer focus, leadership, continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making, help create a stronger and more positive company culture.
