Last year “Achema Gas Trade” earned a profit of 5.8 million EUR

Last year gas trade company “Achema Gas Trade” which is a subsidiary of Jonava fertilizer plant “Achema” earned 5.8 million of net profit.

Last year, the company sold approximately 2.9 TWh of natural gas and LNG in total. “Achema Gas Trade” fully fulfilled the natural gas and LNG sales targets, maintaining the current market share and continuing successful and long-term cooperation with some of the largest natural gas consumers in Lithuania.

2023 was the first full year during which “Achema Gas Trade” traded renewable electricity produced by company “Renerga” that belongs to concern “Achema Group”. During 2023 companies that belong to concern “Achema Gas Trade” provided about 164 GWh renewable energy to companies of the concern, external clients and power market “Nord Pool”.

In 2023 the income of the Company decreased by 82.6 percent down to 116.7 million EUR  (in 2022 it amounted to 670.7 million) – such downfall was caused by a significant drop in the indices of the energy stock exchange, according to which the company both buys and sells natural gas and electricity.
