“B2B open cooking | sustainability”: such meetings are sharing and improving together
On the 28th of April (Sunday), the event organised by the Lithuanian Association of Chefs de Cuisine and Confectioners “B2B open cooking | sustainability” took place at the restaurant of “Grand SPA Lietuva” in Druskininkai. As the president of the association, Justinas Kapkovičius, said during the event, the purpose of such meetings is to share, improve together, learn and encourage each other, so that the community becomes stronger, as many members as possible join the association and feel themselves among equals!
Chef Justinas together with his fellow chefs, confectioners and beverage experts, invited the guests of the event to form teams and cook together.
During Open Cooking, the chefs were subdivided into groups and not only cooked together with all the participants of the event, but also explained where the creation of a dish begins, what philosophy they follow when working in the kitchen, what cuisines of the world inspire them, what techniques they use in their kitchens and how they overcome various challenges. The kitchen professionals especially emphasized the principles of sustainability and the importance of seasonality.
The groups of chefs were divided according to the menu categories coordinated by the respectful chefs: drinks, snacks, hot dishes with outdoor grills, desserts.
The staff of “Grand SPA Lietuva” was very happy as every year they become a part of this exceptional event and expressed their gratitude to all the participants and guests.
