KLASCO became a part of a grand project in Iceland
An impressive football arena is successfully being constructed in Iceland, the history of which will include the name of Lithuania. The constructions that were needed to build the Hauka arena were delivered from Lithuania and company “Klaipėdos jūrų krovinių kompanija” (KLASCO) was responsible for their loading.
“It was an exceptional project that also required responsibility. Our company had to load oversized segments, which require appropriate preparation and competences. The project was implemented successfully, extremely large steel structures weighing several hundred tons were reloaded by KLASCO. We are grateful to our customers for their trust, and our colleagues who participated in the loading process for their responsibility,” rejoiced the CEO of KLASCO Vitalij Muštuk.
The constructions required for the sports arena were manufactured in Lithuania. A total of 11 arches were designed and manufactured, the weight of one of them is approximately 35 tons, and the building structure weighed about 600 tons. Since the cargo was oversized (the arch segments were 4 meters wide and 18 meters long), it was transported to Klaipėda port by special transport.
Currently, the cargo segment of KLASCO covers a wide range of cargoes: oversized cargo, metal, grains, fertilizers are being loaded, moreover, soon it is planned to load containers, devices and structures needed for wind energy.
