Achema Supported a Foster Home and a Family Centre

The approaching festive season often makes us pause to reflect on the past year, to take time for loved ones and good deeds. This year, AB Achema, the largest fertiliser producer in the country, contributing to the development of the community, supported the Jonava Foster Home and the Child and Family Welfare Centre.

According to Inga Jakučinskienė, Achema’s HR and General Affairs Director, this is not the first year that the company has been focused on those in need.

”Every year we are happy to help these institutions. Unfortunately, this year, due to the lockdown, we can’t visit the children of the centre to talk to them and watch their Christmas performance. It has already become a nice tradition,” she says.

J. Jakučinskienė notes that institutions need support, but the human touch is equally important.

“We maintain a constant relationship with the residents of the centre and the foster home. I think we will make up for it after the pandemic. We are part of the community and we have to contribute to its growth not only during the festive season,” says Achema’s HR and General Affairs Director. This support will be used to address the problems caused by the lockdown and ensure a streamlined educational process.
