Next week, Seimas is going to commemorate the 80th birthday anniversary of Bronislovas Lubys, the Signatory of the Lithuanian Independence Act.
The exhibition “Bronislovas Lubys (1938-2011), the Signatory of the Lithuanian Independence Act” will be presented at the Lithuanian Freedom Defenders’ Gallery in Lithuanian Parliament on Tuesday, the 9th October. The exhibition will be opened by a member of Seimas, signatory of the Lithuanian Independence Act Mr. Kęstutis Glaveckas.
Photo exhibition prepared by the Department of Parliamentary Historical Memory of Seimas Chancellery is a retrospective representation of versatile activities and works of the signatory of the Lithuanian Independence Act, Prime Minister of the Republic of Lithuania, Lithuanian businessman, industrialist, head of Lithuanian capital company UAB koncernas “Achemos grupė”, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associated Professor at Kaunas University of Technology, Honorary Doctor of the University of Technology and Klaipėda University, honorary citizen of Jonava district and Plungė town, and the patron of culture and science of Lithuania.
The exposition contains photo works from Seimas archive and the Central State Archives of Lithuania. The photos have also been willingly lent by the Archive of Presidential Chancellery and UAB koncernas “Achemos grupė”. Photos from the album “Bronislovas Lubys: A Photo Album Dedicated for the 70th Anniversary” and photo works of personal photographers have also been used. The exhibition dedicated to B. Lubys, the signatory to the Lithuanian Independence Act, will be open at Lithuanian Freedom Defenders’ Gallery from the 22nd October. It can be visited on Fridays, from 11:00 to 15:00 during open hours.
