On November 23, the board of ACHEMOS GRUPĖ, one of the largest groups in Lithuania, has appointed a new CEO, Linas Sabaliauskas, the former deputy CEO of the group. Sabaliauskas, 41, managed “Renerga”, one of the strategic companies of ACHEMOS GRUPĖ, for 10 years. Former CEO of ACHEMOS GRUPĖ, Audrius Bendaravičius, retired from this position on the mutual agreement of the parties.
“We thank Audrius Bendaravičius for long-term work in the companies of ACHEMOS GRUPĖ and for assumed responsibility of the CEO during the group’s changes”, said Lidija Lubienė, Chairman of the Board of ACHEMOS GRUPĖ.
“At the same time, we have passed a responsible stage of purifying the group’s activities, developed a long-term strategy, and projected enlargement. It’s time for me to fulfill my personal goals”, said A. Bendaravičius.
The newly appointed CEO of the group, Linas Sabaliauskas, has completed engineering studies at Aleksandras Stulginskis University. In 2002, he began his career as a hydroenergetics specialist in the group’s company “Renerga”, subsequently worked as a deputy CEO of the company, and in 2008, he became the CEO of the company. In 2016, Sabaliauskas became a deputy CEO of ACHEMOS GRUPĖ, and on November 23, 2017 he was appointed CEO of the group. Sabaliauskas is also Chairman and Member of the Board of Directors of a number of subsidiaries of the group and he also is the head of the Energy Committee of the Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists.
“Linas Sabaliauskas is a dynamic manager with competent leadership and strategic management experience. He has proved his abilities by achieving results and earned our confidence. The group has ambitious growth targets, therefore, I believe that the new energetic manager will inspire the group’s team for new challenges and will guide this large group’s companies in the right direction”, said the Chairman of the Board of ACHEMOS GRUPĖ.
“I thank the Board for their trust. The main short-term goals for me are management of staff policy, as group’s companies also face the common problem of emigration in the country. Another important task is to establish a relationship with strategic state projects, when we de facto maintain these projects, and make a significant contribution to their existence. And the third, most important, goal is to combine managerial potential to maximize the synergies of the group of companies”, said Linas Sabaliauskas, the newly appointed CEO of ACHEMOS GRUPĖ.
He noted that long-term goals of the group were to develop the group’s identity as an international company, to actively engage in already familiar foreign markets, to take new businesses and markets in order to increase the quality and diversification of its portfolio.
ACHEMOS GRUPĖ is one of the largest national capital business groups in Lithuania. The group unites more than 40 companies operating in Lithuania and abroad, employing about 4,800 employees. Companies of the group successfully compete not only with Lithuanian but also with other world-class producers. Their products are exported to more than 30 countries worldwide.
