History
The Concern Achema Group is the largest business structure of Lithuanian capital. It has more than ten branches of industry. Activities are focused in the production field and surrounded by services and media sectors.
Preconditions for the establishment of the Concern Achema Group arose after successful completion of a privatization process. A Local capital had purchased Jonava fertilizers manufacturing company Azotas including transport and services infrastructure. Corporate restructuring and modernization of production was carried out according to international standards of technology and global market requirements.
After bringing together an enormous capital, the company had to formulate clear strategic directions and allocation of investment flows. The economic base of the Company was chemical products, energy, cargo handling and logistics. This kind of business is important key factor well-known at home and abroad.
The company Concern Achema Group was established in 2001. It’s been managing over 30 acting companies in Lithuania and abroad until nowadays. They work in fields of chemistry, logistics, transport, handling, construction, marketing, mass media and many others. The turnover of the Group reaches several billion dollars per year (2009 - 3.1 billion, £ 2010 - 2.8 billion). It employs more than 5,000 personnel.
